Conservative treatment should always act as a first-line of defense in managing pain. Conservative treatment most commonly refers to any treatment modality that is non-surgical. More specifically, conservative management can also exclude injections and even medications, leaving only the most conservative treatment options such as exercise, posture, weight loss, and physical therapy.

When conservative pain management fails, medications can be a great modality for reducing pain and increasing function. There are a wide gamut of medications available, from neuropathic pain medications to anti-inflammatories to muscle relaxers and many more. We try to utilize the full breadth of medications available to address pain from multiple treatment avenues in hopes of reducing not only the pain, but the amount of medication needed to reduce the pain to a satisfactory level.

Muscle Relaxers  •  Antiinflammatories  •  Opioids  •  Anxiolytics  •  Neuropathic Pain Medications  •  Antidepressants •  Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID) • Savella • Steroid Medications • Local Anesthetics •  Topical Creams • Nasal Sprays •  Gastrointestinal (GI) Anti-Constipation • GI Protectants

While interventional pain management probably has the greatest rate of success, it also comes with the greatest risk. Steroid injections, nerve blocks, and other minimally invasive surgical procedures are typically reserved for when conservative and medications means of pain management have failed. CPC offers a wide range of interventional treatment options and continues to adopt more as technology progresses.

Steroid Injections  â€¢  Nerve Blocks  â€¢  Radiofrequency Ablations  â€¢  Neuromodulation
